Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting. The role includes rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting in the electronic medical record, and assisting providers to promote efficient patient flow.

You will help with front desk duties for the department, schedule patients, verify payor information, and maintain a safe environment while upholding patient-centered care and PHI safety

Job description

A Brief Overview

The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting. This role includes but not limited to rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting in the electronic medical record, assisting with procedures, supporting providers, and promoting efficient patient flow while delivering patient-centered care.

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
