Summary of Job Duties:

The Medical Assistant assists physicians by conducting patient interviews, recording vital signs, drawing blood, preparing specimens, and performing EKGs. Also prepares exam rooms and performs administrative tasks like scheduling and registration.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year of Medical Assistant experience

Additional Responsibilities:

• Collect and record medical history and vital signs
• Advise patients on treatment and medication
• Collect lab samples and document submissions
• Manage appointment schedules
• Greet and check out patients, process payments, verify insurance
• Interact professionally with patients and staff
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively
• Assist stakeholders with customer service
• Perform other duties as assigned
