Job summary

Lange Recruiting is assisting a thriving facial plastic surgery practice in filling a Medical Assistant role in Midlothian, VA. You will support the surgeon with patient care, manage patient flow, and ensure a high standard of service.

Applicants should have prior medical experience; cosmetic surgery experience is a plus. Excellent communication, organization, and a friendly, professional demeanor are essential. The schedule offers a Monday–Friday, with no weekends or evenings.

Responsibilities

• Triaging and rooming patients.
• Facilitating patient flow.
• Measuring and recording patient history in the EMR.
• Preparing, cleaning and stacking examination rooms.
• Assisting with surgical procedures.
• Returning patient calls.
• Securing prior authorizations and referrals.
• Adhering to lab processing and testing protocols.
• Following instrument handling and sterilization procedures.
• Coverage for ENT physician as needed.
• Other duties as requested.

This busy practice is looking for a highly‑organized, outgoing and friendly person to serve as a Medical Assistant to assist our talented surgeon with patient care and follow‑up. The Medical Assistant is responsible for managing patient flow, assisting with patient care, demonstrating superior customer service and tackling tasks with the utmost of professionalism. Applicants must be a team player and have the ability to multi‑task. Prior medical experience is required – cosmetic surgery experience a plus. We are seeking someone with a passion for this field who would like to make a career out of working with our team and our patients.

This position will be responsible for:

• triaging and rooming patients
• facilitating patient flow
• measuring and recording patient history / physical in the EMR
• preparing, cleaning and stacking examination rooms
• assisting with surgical procedures
• returning patient calls
• securing prior authorizations and referrals as needed for medications, treatments and procedures
• adhering to procedures for processing and tracking lab specimens and other diagnostic testing
• following protocols for instrument handling, cleaning, packaging, sterilizing and maintenance of autoclave.

• other duties as requested

• Monday- Friday, no weekends or evenings
• We try to close the office early every Friday afternoon

Compensation:

• $22-$24 per hour, depending upon experience
