What You’ll Do
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Obtain and document vital signs, recognizing and reporting abnormal findings.
  • Assist with patient intake, rooming, and clinic flow.
  • Schedule new and follow-up appointments.
  • Recognize and appropriately respond to emergencies.
  • Maintain exam rooms, supplies, linens, and equipment.
  • Prepare, clean, and disinfect clinical equipment according to policy.
  • Collect, prepare, and transport laboratory specimens as needed.
  • Support patient comfort and care while considering age-specific and special needs.
Documentation & Electronic Medical Records
  • Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Access and review laboratory results, radiology reports, and outside medical records.
  • Update patient demographics and coordinate follow-up care.
  • Prepare safety reports when necessary.
  • Protect patient privacy and maintain HIPAA compliance.
Professionalism & Patient Service
  • Demonstrate reliability, integrity, and professionalism at all times.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Address concerns and complaints respectfully and professionally.
  • Communicate clinic needs, concerns, and updates to leadership.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
Safety & Infection Prevention
  • Follow standard and transmission-based precautions.
  • Promote a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Report safety concerns promptly.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinic safety programs.
Administrative & Clerical Support
  • Gather and organize clinical documentation for providers.
  • Request medical records from outside facilities.
  • Scan and upload documentation into the EMR.
  • Answer and route telephone calls professionally and efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Or two (2) years of relevant healthcare experience.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
