Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Medical Assistant.
Position Status: Full-time - 40 hours / week
Position Location: Sentara Leigh Hospital - Norfolk, VA
Standard Working Hours: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday
Department Overview: Join our team-oriented employee health office! Our unit is open to new grads or experienced candidates. The Employee Health team is responsible for the health and wellness for Sentara employees. This includes pre-placement exams, annual health assessments, flu vaccines/immunizations, return to work tests and fitness for duty evaluations.

The Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative and clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
