Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Moross Road campus team. You will support providers and nursing leadership, handling administrative and clinical tasks to ensure a seamless patient experience.

The ideal candidate completes a Medical Assistant program with externship, holds current BLS-C, and is ready to work in a fast-paced, compassionate environment that values patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), or equivalent experience.
• Current BLS-C certification upon hire or by end of orientation.

Responsabilités

• Greet and escort patients to the exam room.
• Obtain and record accurate medical histories to support patient care.
• Measure and record vital signs for comprehensive patient assessments.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring they are informed and at ease.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures, facilitating efficient and effective care.

Basic computer knowledge

Keyboarding skills

EPIC experience

Formation

High school diploma or GED

Medical Assistant program + 160-hour externship

BLS-C certification
