Job summary

Spectrum Human Services seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians and nurses with examinations, procedures, and vital signs. You will vaccinate patients, collect lab specimens, and run basic tests, while maintaining accurate EHRs and helping schedule appointments.

Responsibilities include insurance verification and coordinating interdisciplinary communications. A strong healthcare support background and familiarity with Medicaid billing are preferred. On-site position in Highland Park, MI.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Associate Degree preferred).
• Experience scheduling appointments, multitasking, and managing administrative tasks.
• Familiarity with Medicaid billing regulations.
• Medical Assistant experience (3+ years) or CMA/RMA preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses with examinations, procedures, and vital signs.
• Administer vaccinations, collect laboratory specimens, and run basic lab tests.
• Maintain accurate Electronic Health Records (EHR) and help schedule appointments.
• Manage insurance verification and interdisciplinary communications.
