Job summary

Texoma Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in patient examinations and treatments. You will interview patients, take vitals, perform venipuncture, and document in the EMR under physician guidance.

Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms and assisting at the front desk. A High School diploma and MA certificate or experience are required, with bilingual English/Spanish helpful for diverse patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion or one year of MA experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check-in/out per clinic protocol.
• General medical office procedures.
• Proficiency in basic computer programs including Microsoft Office.

Medical Assistant - Durant Oklahoma

is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties, which include a assisting in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviewing patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), venipuncture, and procedures as directed by the physician within the scope of practice in the State. Documentation is recorded in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guideline. Prepares treatment rooms for the examination of patients. Assists in covering the front desk as required.

Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS.
