Job summary

B Positive Plasma in Montgomery County, PA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support donor screening, testing and regulatory compliance. You will greet donors, administer health history questionnaires, operate testing equipment and maintain the donor area according to SOPs.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and an interest in health-related work. Travel up to 25 miles for training or support may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Previous experience or education in a health-related field helpful.
• Ability to operate equipment listed in the role.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register donors.
• Administer health history questionnaire to donors.
• Set up and operate instruments used for testing donor vitals and station equipment (Quality Control).
• Assess and record donor weight and vitals.
• Proficiency testing of equipment.
• Attend to donors’ needs.
• Ensure area is clean and maintained according to regulations.
• Communicate delays to center management, nurse and/or other necessary parties.
• Assess supply inventory; order and restock, as needed.
• Document activities and issues, when necessary.
• Answer donor inquiries.
• Available to travel up to 25 miles to other facilities for training or assisting other center's staffing needs.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Education
