Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant for Methodist Physicians Clinic - Diabetes and Endocrine in Omaha. The role involves assisting physicians, preparing patients, phlebotomy, medication administration, and managing orders and tests, with a 32-hour work week and shifts on Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri from 7:30am–4pm.

Responsibilities include patient education, scheduling, documentation, and coordinating with phlebotomy, lab, and radiology services to support patient care.

Qualificações

• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant program is required with externship/preceptorship in a clinical setting OR six months of current Medical Assistant experience.
• Currently enrolled in nursing program with half of nursing courses completed; transcripts must be provided indicating classes passed.

Responsabilidades

• Assist physicians with daily activities including preparing patients for examination and phlebotomy.
• Handle injections, medication entry, laboratory and radiology orders as directed.
• Schedule diagnostic tests and manage patient telephone communications.
• Document all lab, procedures and appointments on tracking forms and maintain organized work areas.
• Provide patient and family education as directed by the provider and ensure understanding of treatment.
