Job summary

Anetta Reszko MD PC in New York, NY is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a fast-paced dermatology practice. Dermatology experience and EMA scribing are a plus.

You will handle patient intake, assist dermatologists, prepare for cosmetic procedures, document histories in EMR and support lab processes. Excellent communication, patient confidentiality, and computer skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) are essential.

Qualifications

• Immediate opening for a Certified Medical Assistant in a Dermatology practice; Dermatology experience and EMA scribing are a plus.
• Strong focus on patient confidentiality, time management and professional communication.
• Proficient with basic PC software and iPad; able to work in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, attentive care to patients
• Assist the dermatologist during examinations and procedures
• Prepare for cosmetic procedures
• Room patients and record histories in EMR
• Verify lab and culture results are in the chart
• Process specimens and send to lab with proper paperwork
• Adhere to HIPAA & OSHA policies
• Use EMR and patient scheduling systems; educate patients for procedures
• Handle test results, refills, and post-operative care communications
• Maintain professional phone and e-mail etiquette
• Maintain computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Stock and clean exam rooms; back-office inventory management
• Support other duties as assigned

Immediate opening for a Certified Medical Assistant working for a high paced, boutique, dermatology practice. Experience with Dermatology and Scribing using Modernizing Medicine's EMA solution is a plus.

Qualified candidates are great with dealing with people, experienced with medical environment, able to maintain confidential patient records and have great time management skills. Candidates must be comfortable working on general PC office computer programs and iPad.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional and attentive care to patients
• Assist the dermatologist during examinations and procedures/treatments
• Prepare for cosmetic procedures
• Room patients, take histories, record in the electronic medical records
• Check that lab results, culture results, etc. are in the chart
• Handle/process specimens and send specimens to the laboratory with necessary, accurate paperwork
• Knowledge of healthcare administrative systems, HIPAA & OSHA policies
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems preferred
• Educate patient in preparation for procedures and post‑op care as required
• Respond to phone calls for test results, medication refills, post‑operative care, etc.
• Must be an engaging and professional communicator with excellent phone and e‑mail etiquette
• Must be computer savvy and strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Prefer prior experience working in a dermatology / medical environment
• Must have strong understanding and execution of provider consistency
• Must exude a strong, constructive and positive view of company culture
• Ensure all equipment is in working order
• Stock and clean exam rooms

At least 2-10 year experience with EMR within a medical practice required. Dermatology experience strongly preferred.

Job Type: Full‑time

Salary: $30.00 to $45.00 /hour based on experience
