HCA Healthcare is hiring a Medical Assistant for our Florida Neuro & Spine practice. This full-time, weekday role focuses on preparing patients, rooms, and supplies for exams and treatments, while supporting physicians with minor procedures and phlebotomy.

The ideal candidate has an accredited Medical Assisting program or current MA certification, with preference for active MA credentials. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifikationen

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program OR twelve months of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting OR current Medical Assistant certification
• Candidates with one year of medical work experience who do not possess Medical Assistant Certification must obtain Certification within one year of hire date
• Medical Assistants who recently graduated from a Medical Assisting training program will obtain a clinical MA certification within 60 days of employment
• Active and unrevoked MA certifications (RMA/CCMA/CMA/NCMA/NCRMA) or ABR-OE credentials are highly preferred

Aufgaben

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking histories and vital signs
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with instruments and supplies; maintain equipment
• Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy
• Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals
• Answer phone calls and screen referrals
