The ideal candidate will be a graduate of a Medical Assistant program, hold CMA/CCMA/RMA certification, and have experience with EHR systems.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Training Program.
• Holds National Medical Assistant Certification: CMA, CCMA, RMA.
• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Experience using an electronic health record system.

Responsibilities

• Escort patient to exam room and record vital signs.
• Respond to patient concerns and questions.
• Complete referrals and obtain pre-authorizations for diagnostic testing.
• Follow protocol for collection and delivery of specimens.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and patient privacy.
• Assist physicians and nurses with clinical tasks and procedures.
• Provide patients with information related to health and wellness.
• Front-end duties: scheduling, check-in, check-out, billing processes.
