Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Training Program.
• Holds National Medical Assistant Certification: CMA, CCMA, or RMA.
• Experience using an electronic health record system (EHR).
• Proficient in obtaining manual vital signs and patient data.
• Commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and record vital signs in the EMR.
• Respond to patient concerns and coordinate referrals and pre-authorizations for tests.
• Collect and deliver specimens following proper protocol.
• Perform front-end functions to support revenue cycle processes: scheduling, registration, check-in/out, and claim entries.
• Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and ensure clean environment.
• Provide patient education materials and electronic copies of medical records.
