Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Hinsdale, IL is seeking a dedicated healthcare associate for full-time day shift. You will organize test results, assist with examinations, manage inventories, and support cross-training across departments to ensure smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include patient prep, recording immunizations, and coordinating admissions as needed, with Monday–Friday 8:30am–5pm in a welcoming, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and reviews incoming test results and forwards them to the physician.
• Recognizes and responds to emergencies.
• Performs tests and prepares specimens for outside lab testing as ordered by the physician.
• Maintains examination rooms and treatment areas, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
• Manages inventory of clinical supplies, bio-hazardous waste, and sample medications, ensuring proper labeling, disposal, and sterilization of instruments.
• Prepares and assists patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Maintains medication and immunization records.
• Schedules inpatient/outpatient admissions and procedures, providing cross-training and relief for other staff members as needed.
• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of patients using established guidelines.
