Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is hiring a Medical Assistant to support clinical operations at the Westchester site. You will monitor schedules, assist physicians, collect specimens, and document patient histories while upholding infection prevention standards.

Experience in a medical office is preferred; certification is required within hire. This role offers full-time hours, day shifts, and opportunities for professional growth within a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• Vital signs routine.
• Body substance isolation in patient care.
• Specimen collection and handling as part of clinic workflow.
• Phone etiquette and basic communication with patients (preferred).
• Organizational skills for scheduling and documentation.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors physician schedules and organizes patient care to ensure timely visits.
• Supports relationship-based care and maintains alignment with mission and core values.
• conducts training sessions and reviews care protocols for infection prevention.
• Collaborates with healthcare teams to implement best practices and maintain high standards of care.
• Collects and prepares laboratory specimens; assists with exams and procedures.
• Rooms patients, records vitals and histories, and documents allergies.
