Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is hiring a Medical Assistant for MSO Arlington Community Clinic in Arlington, TX. The role is full time, Monday–Friday, days, with no nights, weekends, or holidays.

You will prepare patients for exams, take histories and vital signs, assist with procedures, injections, lab work, minor surgeries, and handle referrals. A high school diploma and MA certification are required or obtainable within the specified timeframe.

Qualifications

• One year of Medical Assisting or direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certification options include MA certification (RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NRCMA) or ABR-OE; or recent grads must certify within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with instruments and supplies; sterilize as needed.
• Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians with minor surgeries and physicals.
• Answer phone calls and screen for referrals.
