UPMC is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant to support the Stull, Jarvis, & Spinola team in Bethel Park. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with 40 hours per week, typically 7:30am–3:30pm or 8:00am–4:00pm, with no weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities include patient flow management, assisting with patient care, vital signs, and basic lab tasks, while ensuring HIPAA compliance and high-quality patient experience within a collaborative care team.

Mansioni

• Check schedules and organize patient flow.
• Assist patients with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exam, etc.
• Collect patient information/history, taking vitals, performing screens per provider guidelines.
• Send/receive patient medical records in accordance with Health Insurance.
• Comply with HIPAA and other state and federal regulations.
• Prepare and clean patient, exam, and procedure rooms, instruments and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control.
• Manage inventory of supplies; restocking exam/procedure rooms.
• Comply with all relevant regulatory requirements (OSHA, CLIA, PA Dept of Health).
• Comply with all UPMC Health System policies and procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic labs.
• Perform clinic procedures according to policy and procedure.
• Answer calls and provide patient education as directed.
• Obtain lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, referral information, etc.
• Complete forms/requisitions as needed.
• Schedule appointments.
• Prepare and manage charts to ensure information is completed and filed.
• Other front office responsibilities as required.
• Under supervision of a physician, administer injectable medication and vaccines when appropriate.
