Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Group, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support physicians in examination and treatment. You will interview patients, measure vitals, perform venipuncture, and document in the EMR under IPM guidelines.

Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, assisting at front desk as needed, and supporting a range of clinical duties while maintaining infection prevention standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion and/or one year experience as a Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temperature, BP, weight, height).
• Perform venipuncture and procedures as directed by physician within scope of practice.
• Document in Electronic Medical Record per IPM guidelines.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examination and assist in front desk coverage as needed.
• Triaging patients, check-in/out, and assisting with injections and exams.
