Job summary

Trinity Health MI is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient visits in our clinic. You will prepare rooms, take vitals, perform EKGs, draw blood, administer injections and immunizations, conduct point-of-care tests, assist with pharmacology and handle administrative duties to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of an MA program with externship or EMT/Paramedic training.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum: High School Diploma or GED. Successful completion of a MA program and externship/internship, EMT, or Paramedic program.
• Credentials/Licensure preferred: CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA, CMAC.
• Related experience: 2+ years of clinical support in a community clinic if MA program not completed.

Responsibilities

• Room set up and patient preparation.
• Taking vitals (manual & electronic).
• Perform EKG.
• Drawing blood and giving injections and immunizations.
• Performing office tests (Point of Care Testing).
• Pharmacology.
• Administrative duties.
• May perform or assist with in-office procedures/treatments.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

MA program + externship / MA internship / EMT / Paramedic program

Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA, CMAC)
