Job summary

Trinity Health MI is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient visits in a day-time clinic setting. You will prepare patients, take vitals, perform EKGs and blood draws, administer injections, and handle routine point-of-care testing.

You will also assist with pharmacology tasks and various administrative duties, including supporting in-office procedures. A high school diploma or MA program completion is required, with certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED and completion of an accredited MA program or externship/internship.
• Preferred: CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA or CMAC certification.
• If no MA program, 2+ years of clinical support experience in a community clinic.

Responsibilities

• Room set up and patient preparation.
• Taking vitals (Manual & Electronic).
• Perform EKG.
• Drawing blood and giving injections and immunizations.
• Performing point-of-care testing.
• Pharmacology related tasks.
• Administrative duties.
• Assist with in-office procedures or treatments.
