LOCATION: Foster Family Community Health Center (Travel in Northern MI required - Company Vehicle Provided)

SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday (No Holidays or Weekends)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Assistant to join our growing team. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a healthcare environment that is committed to working directly with employers to keep employees safe and healthy on the job. We see a verity of work-related injuries, provide surveillance testing and employment physical to ensure the health of employees across the nation.

Some duties could include:

Assist in patient assessments and intake procedures. Appropriately documents information obtained.

Perform clinical tasks including blood draws, injections, PFT and audiometric testing. You will travel the Northern Michigan area to conduct audiometric testing on site for employers.

Become certified to perform DOT drug screen and breath alcohol testing.

Administers vaccinations and TB skin test.

Engages and helps promote patient education as appropriate

Assist with administrative task including scheduling appointments, reporting out results.

What’s Required:

CREDENTIALED MEDICAL ASSISTANT

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred
  • Credentialed as a Medical Assistant from an approved Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization.
  • BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained.

NON-CREDENTIALED MEDICAL ASSISTANT

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred
  • One year ( 1 ) relevant experience working in a physician practice or similar healthcare setting in a provider/patient support or Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program approved by Munson healthcare.
  • BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained.
