Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAAHEP/ABHES Medical Assistant program, OR a graduate of a formal medical assistant program, OR a graduate of an LPN program.
• Completion of a clinical externship.
• Current BLS-C certificate.
• Successful completion of HFMG pharmacology class and test.
• Preferred CMA or RMA certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to the exam room, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment.
• Take medical histories and measure/record vital signs accurately.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assisting physicians as needed.
• Perform a wide variety of clinical skills related to ambulatory patient care.
• Utilize basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills to maintain patient records and support administrative tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) Medical Assistant Program, OR Graduate of a formal medical assistant program, OR Graduate of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
• Completion of a clinical externship.
• Current BLS-C certificate.
• Successful completion of HFMG pharmacology class and test.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
