Job summary

Pediatrix & Obstetrix is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in delivering compassionate patient care, performing clinical and administrative duties across the practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and meticulous attention to detail in a patient-centered environment.

The role includes greeting patients, preparing visits, assisting with exams, collecting specimens, scheduling, and ensuring a safe, efficient outpatient setting with

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Certification as Medical Assistant preferred or as required by State
• CPR/BLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms and document medical history.
• Assist with patient flow to ensure timely visits
• Support high-quality patient care and communication with patients, families and care providers
• Prepare exams and procedures under supervision of physician/advanced practice provider
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, administer injections/immunizations, and venipuncture where allowed
• Communicate instructions to patients and ensure understanding
• Schedule tests and follow-ups and relay results
• Maintain clean exam rooms and stocked supplies; prepare sterilization as required
• Triage calls and process referrals and messages from patients and staff
• Other duties as assigned
