Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in delivering specialized patient care. You will perform both clinical and administrative tasks in a dynamic practice setting, with responsibilities varying by state regulations.

The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care. 1+ year office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred or required by state.
• CPR/BLS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patient to exam room, document medical history and meds.
• Assist with patient flow to ensure timely visits.
• Support patient experience with excellent service and communication.
• Prepare and conduct medical exams and procedures under supervision.
• Collect and prepare lab specimens, administer injections as allowed.
• Communicate instructions to patients and ensure understanding.
• Schedule tests and follow-ups; relay test results to patients.
• Maintain exam rooms and stock supplies; sterilize as required.
• Triage calls, process referrals, and manage patient records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
