Job summary

The Brevard Health Alliance is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our outpatient team in Melbourne, FL. The MA will support clinicians, manage EMR documentation, prepare exam rooms, and assist with exams and minor procedures in a fast-paced community health setting.

Qualified candidates will have a Medical Assistant credential, BLS/CPR, HIPAA knowledge, and experience with EMR systems. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth in Brevard County.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or AA in Medical Assisting or 1 year verifiable MA experience.
• NCCA Accredited Medical Assistant.
• Certification or Registration as an MA or 1 year verifiable related experience.
• Verifiable MA experience for 2+ years could be accepted in lieu of above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Complete patient chart within established standards and enter data into EMR.
• Prepare exam rooms and keep them clean between visits.
• Record vital signs and medical histories during patient interviews.
• Assist providers with exams and minor procedures.
• Administer medications or vaccinations as directed by physicians.
• Enter dispensed medications in Excel and assist with inventory reconciliation.
• Maintain pediatric immunization records in EMR and Florida Shots.
• Document accurately and timely, and communicate clinic issues to management.
• Support daily huddles and clinical team collaboration.
