This (32) hour, fully benefited regional float position offers a generous differential plus base pay.

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Exact times may vary based on operational need.

$3000 SIGN ON BONUS AND $3/HR SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL

Major Responsibilities

1. Escort patients to examination rooms, take and record vital signs such as blood pressures, temperatures, height, weight, etc. Collect and document patient health status, history, and monitor patient progress following standard procedures.
2. Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, Point of Care (POC) tests according to clinic/office standards.
3. Prepare, document, and administer non-intravenous injections as directed or required by the office/clinic, within scope of practice.
4. Assist in performing routine physical examinations or clinical procedures.
5. Review laboratory results and ensure abnormal results are immediately brought to the attention of the physicians and others, as appropriate.

Position Qualifications

License/Certification/Education

Required:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Heart Saver (HS) certification from the American Heart Association. If not available upon hire, a BLS/HS must be obtained within 3 months from date of hire. Failure to obtain certification within this period may result in termination or reapplication for another position.
3. Medical Assistant credential, approved by the Massachusetts Department of Health (ARMA, NHA, etc.), must be obtained within 1 year from hire/transfer. Failure to do so may result in termination or reapplication for another position. Senior Leadership may grant an extension in extenuating circumstances.

Medical Assistant II Required

All of the above and must already have the Medical Assistant certification or registration prior to start date.
