Secretary, Medical Admin Sr., CMG Regional Float, 32 Hours, Days

Schedule: Friday, Monday, Thursday, Tuesday

Scheduled Hours: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri - 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Exact times may vary based on operational need.

Shift: Day Shift, 8 Hours

Hours: 32

Exemption Status: Non-Exempt

$3000 Sign-On for New Hires

I. Major Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate medical office activities and staff as assigned, including training and scheduling the work of assigned employees, recommending processing improvements, implementing new procedures, and monitoring employee performance.
  2. Transcribe medical reports for physicians from dictation. Produce correspondence, reports, memos, etc. Proofread/edit manuscripts, grant applications, academic and professional papers, and other materials for appropriate grammar, spelling, format, and style.
  3. Attend meetings in the capacity of recording secretary. Distribute meeting agenda and minutes.
  4. Serve as coordinator of divisional residency, fellowship, clerkship, and/or graduate or undergraduate education programs.
  5. Compose or select standard form letters for physicians’ responses to routine inquiries and procedures, such as back-to-work authorizations.

II. Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:

  1. Required: High School diploma.
  2. Required: MA driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to Community Medical Group sites within a specific region.

Experience/Skills:

  1. Required: 6-12 months additional specialized medical secretarial/medical office training and 2-3 years of medical secretarial/administrative support experience.
  2. Software used: Word processing, spreadsheet, presentation graphics, database, Medi-Tech, IDX, Lynx, etc.
  3. Must be willing to travel outside assigned region occasionally when required.

Unless certification, licensure, or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
