Job summary

Charleston ENT & Allergy in Beaufort is hiring qualified Medical Assistants (CCMA, CMA, NCMA or RMA) to join our growing team. You will be on the front line, interacting with patients and their families at every stage of the process.

We offer a competitive pay scale with starting wages of $20-$23 per hour, depending on experience. Duties include patient check-in/out, triage, assisting physicians, scheduling testing, and front/back office support as needed.

Qualifications

• Certification as CCMA, CMA, NCMA or RMA required.
• Ability to interact with patients and families professionally.

Responsibilities

• Check-in/out patients.
• Open/close clinic operations.
• Triage patients and assist physicians.
• Schedule testing and manage prescriptions.
• Administer allergy shots and take vitals.
• Perform tympanometry exams to assess ear pressure.
• Coordinate hospital consultations and pre-certifications.
• Assist with front and back office duties as needed.

Medical Assistant Duties Include

• Patient check in/out
• Clinic opening and closing
• Triaging patients and assisting physicians with patients and procedures
• Scheduling testing
• Calling in prescriptions
• Performing allergy shots, and taking vitals
• Administering tympanometry exams for ear pressure
• Managing hospital consultation requests for physicians
• Floating between front and back office responsibilities as needed
• Scanning patient records and other information as necessary
• Contacting insurance companies to pre-certify tests and procedures for Physicians
• Other duties as assigned
