Job description

As a medical assistant at Amery Hospital and Clinic, you will assist the physician/provider with all activities related to a patient/provider encounter, including activities prior to, during, and after the clinic visit. This includes working on inbound/outbound health-line calls, entering encounters and voicemails, and supporting the clinic team in all capacities as needed. Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing same-day job duties with little notice are essential in this role.

Work Schedule:
  • 0.7 FTE / 28 hours weekly. 9-hour days, 3 days per week, Monday - Friday daytime hours
Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma/equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (MA, CMA, or RMA) or current LPN licensure in the State of Wisconsin.
  • Current BLS certification required within 6 months of hire and maintained while employed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of CMA, RMA, or LPN experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in keyboarding and computer knowledge.
  • Experience with EPIC system.
