Job summary

CRH Healthcare is seeking a Medical Assistant or EMT for our Dunkirk, MD clinics. The role supports providers to ensure smooth exam-to-treatment flow and serves as a liaison between patients and medical staff.

Work three 12‑hour shifts per week with weekend/holiday rotation. Travel to multiple clinics within the region may be required; mileage paid where applicable. CMA/EMT experience preferred; BLS/CPR required.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and problem-solving / communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of EMR system.
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CMA/RMA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical intake including medical history, current medications, chief complaint, obtain vital signs and records information within EMR system.
• Administer medications, dress/bandage wounds, draw blood and assist provider with procedures.
• Perform diagnostic tests including eye exams, ECG, audiogram, peak flow, and other basic nursing functions.
• Perform DOT and Non-DOT urine drug screens with proper chain of custody; prepare for lab submission.
• Monitor disposable inventory, medical supplies, and pharmaceuticals.
• Complete medical charting to include services rendered, test results and supplies used.

We have an opening for a Medical Assistant or EMT who provides exceptional support to providers and team to ensure and establish a seamless flow between examination and treatment established. Employees in this role are the liaison between patients and medical providers.

Work Schedule: Must be able to work three 12-hour shifts per week with a rotation on weekends and some holidays.

MA / EMT positions may require travel to multiple clinic centers across the defined region to support critical shifts. Access to reliable transportation is required. Mileage is paid for travel that occurs outside of your defined home region.

Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant (Certified, Certified Clinical, Registered, or a certificate of completion from your school is preferred, but not required)
• Nurse (LPN) Must provide proof of current certification.
• Two years of clinical experience preferred.
• Ability to escort or transport a patient by wheelchair when appropriate.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• We do not accept CNA’s, EMT’s, or PMD’s.

Experience:

• Perform diagnostic tests including eye exams, electrocardiograph, audiogram, peak flow, and other basic nursing functions.
• Perform both DOT and Non-DOT urine drug screens, using proper chain of custody; ensure preparation for pick-up and shipment to appropriate laboratory. (On-the-job Training)
• Monitor disposable inventory, medical supplies, and pharmaceuticals.
• Complete medical charting to include medical services rendered, test results, and supplies used.

Hourly Salary Range: Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA): $17.00 - $24.00
