Job summary

Duly Health and Care is hiring a Medical Assistant for Radiation Oncology. You will greet patients, assist with registrations, collect health history, and support physicians during exams and procedures across a busy clinic network.

The role requires MA certification through recognized bodies, CPR, and possibly phlebotomy within 90 days. Base pay details are provided with emphasis on total rewards and growth within a physician-led team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or higher education in health sciences.
• Active MA certification through AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA or AAMA.
• CPR certification or willingness to become certified on hire.
• Phlebotomy certification within 90 days of hire.
• 2 years of MA/ CMA/ CNA/ EMT or equivalent medical office experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, vital signs and health history.
• Support physicians during examinations, minor surgeries, dressing changes and first aid.
• MAs may assist with immunizations or injections.
• Help with prescriptions, pharmacy callbacks, provider orders and charting.
• Conduct onsite labs: EKG, pulmonary function, glucose and urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintain clean, welcoming exam rooms and provide excellent customer service.

Medical Assistant- Radiation Oncology

Full Time

Clinic Hours: 7:3am-5pm

Occasional Travel to List

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing
• Conduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests
• Maintains clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits
• Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required
• Several of our clinical specialties including Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Family Practice, require active medical assistant certification through one of the following:
  • American Medical Technologists (AMT)
  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
  • National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
  • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• CPR certification or willing to become certified upon hire required
• May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire
• Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $21.43-23.63 for a Medical Assistant; Certified or Registered Medical Assistant the base pay range is $22.97-24.57, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
