Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Westmont, IL is hiring a Medical Assistant for a Value Based Care setting. The role supports physicians, conducts basic examinations, and performs on-site labs while providing excellent patient service.

This full-time position requires MA certification and CPR, with additional opportunities for immunizations and phlebotomy as needed. Travel to nearby clinics may occur; strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher health-science coursework required.
• Active Medical Assistant certification through AMT/NCCT/NHA/ARMA/AAMA preferred.
• CPR certification or willingness to become certified upon hire.
• Phlebotomy certification may be required within 90 days of hire.
• Previous MA/CMA/CNA/EMT experience or 2 years in medical office supporting patient care.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, and collecting health history.
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor procedures, and injections.
• Assist with immunizations or injections where certified.
• Process prescriptions, respond to pharmacy callbacks, and update charting.
• Conduct onsite lab tests such as EKG, pulmonary function, glucose, and urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintain clean, welcoming examination rooms and high-quality patient service.
• Travel to assist other local clinics as needed.

Medical Assistant- Value Based Care

Full Time

Westmont

Monday through Friday

Monday and Tuesday 8:00am-4:30 or 5pm, Wed 8:00am-3:00pm, Thurs 8:00am-4:30pm or 9:00am-6:00pm alternating, Friday 8:00am-4:30 or 5p. 1 Saturday every other month 8:00am-12:00 pm. No travel required.

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing
• Conduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests
• Maintains clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits
• Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required
• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required
• Several of our clinical specialties including Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Family Practice, require active medical assistant certification through one of the following:
  • American Medical Technologists (AMT)
  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
  • National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
  • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• CPR certification or willing to become certified upon hire required
• May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire
• Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care
• Prior experience using an electronic medical record preferred
• College graduates from a health sciences program interested in gaining patient care experience and in pursuing a career in healthcare are welcome to apply

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $21.43-23.63 for a Medical Assistant; Certified or Registered Medical Assistant the base pay range is $22.97-24.57, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
