United Vein & Vascular Centers is seeking a Medical Assistant / Clinical Technologist in Phoenix, AZ. You will support patient care, assist in procedures, and manage room readiness, documentation, and inventory, while adhering to HIPAA and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience as a Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Surgical Technician, or Scrub Technician in a patient care setting.
• BLS certification within 60 days of hire (American Heart Association preferred).
• Experience with sterile field.
• Preferred completion of an accredited MA or Surgical Technologist program.
• Strong communication skills and experience with EMR.
• Dependable, punctual, and knowledgeable in medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient rooming, verification, and vitals documentation; update patient status in the EMR; maintain smooth patient flow.
• Prepare exam rooms; support sterile and non-sterile procedures; assist in surgical procedures; follow CDC/OSHA safety guidelines.

Medical Assistant / Clinical Technologist

About the Role:

As a Clinical Technologist, you’ll be a critical member of our team, supporting patient flow and engaging in various clinical support tasks. After completing your initial training (4-6 weeks), you’ll perform all job responsibilities independently with confidence. This entry-level role is ideal for MAs and PCTs looking to expand their skills and take on new challenges in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care Support: Assist with patient rooming, verification, and vitals documentation. Use eCW to update patient status and maintain smooth patient flow.
• Procedure Support: Prepare exam rooms, support sterile and non-sterile procedures, assist in surgical procedures, and follow CDC and OSHA guidelines for safety and cleanliness.
• Documentation & Inventory: Document patient information, complete consent forms, manage inventory, and keep exam rooms stocked.
• Compliance & Confidentiality: Uphold all HIPAA standards, follow UVVC's Core Values and Standards of Conduct, and maintain the highest level of patient confidentiality.
