Job summary

OhioHealth in Dublin, OH is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians with patient care and administrative tasks in accordance with Ohio rules and practice scope. You will assist with clinical duties, manage EMR documentation, ensure clean work areas, and collaborate with the care team to improve patient flow, safety, and satisfaction across the clinic.

Qualifications

• Educational requirements: high school diploma or GED and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates efficient patient flow including preparing the patient for the visit.
• Provides services as determined by providers in accordance with licensure and policy.
• Performs Care Connect EMR documentation.
• Maintains and cleans environment, work area, equipment.
• Communicates with patients and customers in a respectful and caring manner.
• Collaborates with healthcare team to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Collects and monitors patient data; reports as directed.
• Ensures processes and services are monitored for quality, cost efficiency.
• Engages in continuous study and quality improvement activities.
• Trains new staff as a clinical preceptor.
• Serves as SME on quality, performance improvement, and EMR.
• Complies with scope of practice.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
