Job summary

Healing Rock Recovery in Billings, MT seeks a Medical Assistant to provide hands-on clinical support and care coordination for PHP/IOP clients. You will administer injections, perform phlebotomy, monitor vitals, and help coordinate care across medical and behavioral health teams.

The role also covers scheduling, EMR documentation in Kipu, and client intake support. Requirements include CMA/RMA, accredited MA program, and Montana scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current CMA or RMA certification.
• Proficiency in administering injections and performing phlebotomy within Montana's scope of practice.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems (Kipu experience a plus, not required).
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to engage with clients in recovery with empathy, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Capacity to coordinate care across medical, behavioral health, and social service systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Full-time, on-site availability in Billings, MT.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Administer injectable medications and perform phlebotomy; support onsite medical care for PHP and IOP clients; monitor and record vital signs; ensure clinical compliance and safety; assist providers with exams and medication management.
• Administrative Support: Schedule medical and clinical appointments (in-person and telehealth); maintain client records in Kipu EMR; assist with client intakes, group session setup, and client flow coordination; collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to support integrated care delivery.
