Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking Medical Assistants at multiple levels (I–III) to support patient care under licensed clinicians in our Houston-area clinics.

Role levels vary by experience; MA II/III include additional duties such as administer injections and high-level clinical tasks. Pay ranges from $16.00 to $32.00 per hour for full-time roles with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• MA registration or related experience without certification/registration acceptable.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association required.
• Basic medical/nursing terminology knowledge expected.
• Proficiency with computers and medical software.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive patient care functions under supervision.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort following standards.
• Perform delegated tasks as directed by a physician or RN.
• MA II/III duties include administering injectables and advanced clinical tasks.
• MA III acts as a resource for less experienced staff.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program

Registration as a Medical Assistant OR 1+ years of directly related Medical Assistant experience without certification/registration

BLS certification through the American Heart Association

Proven basic medical/nursing terminology experience

Computer proficiency
