Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
• Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant or 1+ years of MA experience required.
• Knowledge of basic medical/nursing terminology desirable.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive patient care under supervision.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort according to standards.
• Perform delegated tasks as directed by a physician or RN.
• MA II: administer injectables and perform advanced clinical tasks.
• MA III: perform high-level clinical procedures and mentor others.
