Job summary

Augusta University is seeking a DJJ Certified Medical Assistant for the Macon facility. This full-time role supports clinical and administrative duties within the Department of Juvenile Justice Health Services.

Responsibilities include patient triage, vital signs, lab processing, and EMR documentation. Requirements include a high school diploma with 2+ years of experience and one of the listed medical assistant certifications; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect patient information.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related databases.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients, record vital signs, and prepare for exams.
• Process lab requests, venipuncture, and perform routine screening tests.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document amounts.
• Enter clinical data into the EMR and maintain accurate records.
• Support administrative clerical duties including answering phones and scheduling.
