Augusta University is seeking a DJJ Certified Medical Assistant in Atlanta, GA. The role combines clinical support and administrative duties, including triage, vital signs, drawing labs, EKGs and medication administration, while maintaining EMR documentation.

Qualifications include a high school diploma with two years’ experience and one of several medical assistant certifications. Bi-lingual a plus; experience with EMR preferred. Shift and site vary; criminal history and drug screen required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with two years of experience and one of the following certifications: AAMA, CCMA, MedCa, NCMA or RMA.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.

Responsabilités

• Assist physicians, nurse practitioners and other providers as needed.
• Triage patients, obtain vital signs, interview patients and prepare them for exams.
• Process lab requests, perform EKGs, nebulizer treatments and dressings as ordered.
• Prepare and administer medications and document times and dosages.
• Enter clinical data into the EMR and maintain accurate patient records.
• Assist with administrative duties including answering phones and scheduling appointments.
