Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health is seeking a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant to join the Clinical Administration - Float Team in Fayetteville. The role supports physicians and licensed staff, performs clinical and administrative tasks, and floats to clinics as needed.

Responsibilities include patient prep, vitals, record updates, education, and assisting with procedures under supervision. BLS and MA program certification are required, with 1 year outpatient experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program with national certification.
• 1 year outpatient clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at front desk, schedule appointments and input information.
• Chaperone, set up for procedures, and assist providers as needed.
• Administer and document treatments, dressing changes, and medications under supervision.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure data entry to Epic/in basket where applicable.
