Job summary

Northwell Health in Westport, CT is hiring a Medical Assistant for NHMP Norwalk Plastic Surgery. This full-time, 40-hour-week role supports clinical and clerical operations, ensuring the patient and examination areas are prepared and ready for visits.

We welcome new graduates or experienced Medical Assistants, CNAs or EMTs. CPR certification is preferred. Minimum education is a High School diploma or GED, and benefits include PTO, medical/dental/vision, HSAs, 401(k) and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program or Nursing Assistant training; EMT certification also acceptable.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience in a medical office.

Responsibilities

• Greets and prepares patients, conducts intake and records vital signs and allergies.
• Transcribes and updates patient demographics and medical history in the EMR.
• Provides clerical support and assists providers with procedures and chart preparation.
• Performs in-office testing and coordinates external services as needed.
• Maintains clean, stocked examination areas and proper inventory control.
• Ensures compliance with privacy and practice standards.
