Northwell Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for NHMP Norwalk Plastic Surgery in Westport, CT. This full-time position runs 8:30am-5:00pm, 40 hours weekly, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus for external hires.

The role involves clinical and clerical support to ensure smooth daily operations and proper patient preparation for visits. Responsibilities include patient intake, EMR documentation, chart preparation, testing coordination, specimen handling, and teamwork to maintain a compliant, efficient

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program or Nursing Assistant/EMT training or 3 years medical office experience.
• Basic medical knowledge and ability to take accurate vital signs.

Mansioni

• Greets patients and escorts them to the clinical area; conducts intake and documents vitals and medications.
• Transcribes patient information to the EMR; updates demographics and medical history as reported.
• Performs clerical tasks; prepares charts and handles related paperwork.
• Follows EMR Orders Reconciliation as assigned.
• Keeps the exam area clean, stocked, and conducts environmental rounds.
• Prepares patients for visits and ensures materials are ready for the provider.
• Coordinates in-office testing and arranges outside services as needed.
• Collects and processes specimens; logs results in patient records.
• Maintains inventory and proper upkeep of equipment and supplies.
• Educates colleagues on procedures; supports new team members.
• Performs audits and pathologic checks as directed.
• Assists in in-office surgical procedures with sterile setup and turnover.
• Interacts with patients per service standards; ensures compliance responsibilities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
