Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months experience as a Medical Assistant or a Patient Care Tech.
• Completion of one of the following programs: medical assistant, emergency medical technician, nurse assistant, licensed practical nurse, armed services medic, or patient care technician.
• For Rural Health Designation clinics, BLS within 6 months of hire.
• For float positions, travel to or between clinics is required.
• Electronic medical record experience.

Responsibilities

• Responds to patients' needs promptly and courteously.
• Prepares examining rooms and stocks supplies.
• Documents interventions, vitals, and medications in the chart or EHR.
• Assists with routine procedures and gynecological exams.
• Administers EKGs, PFTs, immunizations, and draws blood as directed.
