Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain accurate patient intake, including vital signs and histories.

• Assist with ENT procedures under physician supervision (ear tube placement, nasal cauterization, biopsies, inner ear injections).
• Provide discharge instructions, medications, and education; ensure understanding of care plans.
• Respond to patient messages, manage portal communications, and assist with appointment scheduling.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, equipment, and clinical areas.
• Follow infection control protocols and sterilize instruments to maintain a safe environment.

Description

The Medical Assistant supports providers and ensures efficient, high-quality patient care. This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities, requiring strong organizational skills, patient interaction. The Medical Assistant is adaptable, team-oriented, and committed to delivering an excellent patient experience.

Essential Functions

Education and/or experience

Total Rewards
The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of Chesapeake Specialty Care salary range for this position.Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
