Typical hours?

The Pediatrics practice operates Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm. Your primary schedule will be during these hours, with occasional shifts outside to serve patients.

Role of a Certified Medical Assistant?

You will ensure efficient patient flow by assisting with examinations and treatments, providing excellent customer service, and supporting the healthcare team.

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Preparing patients, assisting providers, administering medications, performing procedures, and returning calls promptly.
  • Fulfilling physician orders, scheduling labs/tests, providing patient instructions, and managing referrals and test results.
  • Maintaining medical records, ensuring documentation accuracy, and following safety standards.
  • Keeping examination rooms orderly, stocked, and compliant with regulations.
  • Performing administrative tasks like patient registration, scheduling, insurance processing, and billing.

Job requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant
  • Preferred: 2 years of experience in a physician’s office
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and patient-centered skills in a fast-paced environment
