Schedule: PRN, as needed

Shift: Monday - Friday, Days, with some variation by location

The role you’ll contribute to:

The Medical Assistant, under general supervision, provides appropriate care to patients, following AdventHealth service standards. This includes greeting patients, obtaining clinical, financial, and demographic information, assisting providers during treatments and examinations, and assisting with procedures and medication administration as ordered. Performs office duties such as verifying insurance, collecting copays, and scheduling appointments.

• Assist with screenings per physician orders and accurately enter all information at the time of service or results
• Perform clinical intake according to AHMG policy and procedures
• Assist with minor procedures associated with specialty
• Travel as needed to fulfill staffing needs for safety and whole care
• Maintain education requirements and demonstrate competency as required
• Ensure OSHA regulatory enforcement and office compliance

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

• 1 year of practical medical assisting experience
• Active American Heart Association BLS
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA or equivalent certifications (AMCA, NAHP, AMT, NCMA, National Healthcareer)
