Urban Health Plan in the Bronx-based St. Lawrence Community Health Center is hiring Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist (National CPT) to support primary care services for patients of all ages. Bilingual English/Spanish required with MA certification and CPT qualification.

Role is full-time, onsite, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with a starting hourly rate of $23.00 and a $1,500 annual differential. Competitive benefits are provided.

Responsabilités

Medical Assistant/Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Bilingual English/Spanish) Bronx,NY

Individuals considered for this role may be invited to interview in December for our annual holiday hiring event with an anticipated start date in January 2027.

Position Summary:

We are currently hiring Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist (National Certified Phlebotomy Technician) to work in our Bronx-based family medicine practice- St. Lawrence Community Health Center. Individuals must have a Medical Assistant Certificate/Training Program Completed AND a National Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification to qualify. You will support our Bronx-based family health center where we provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages.

Key Duties:

• Process blood draws, collects specimens and processes lab orders.
• Prepare examination rooms and equipment.
• Obtain vital signs, chief complaints, medical history and accurately records in medical records.
• Completes referrals and discharges patients.
• Assists providers and nurses during all aspects of exams.
• Assist provider with treatments
• Schedules for appointments, verify insurance and demographic information.

Starting Compensation: Minimum: $23.00/hour ; Maximum: $23.00/hour ; Additional $1,500/annum in differential pay.

Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule: Onsite in the Bronx, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant Certificate/Training School and National Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
• Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Computer literacy.
• Training in phlebotomy and patient vitals.
