Job summary

Tidelands Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to join our clinical teams. The role supports patient care in the practice, including vital signs, room preparation, EKGs, phlebotomy, and patient education, under physician authorization.

Responsibilities include assisting with procedures, maintaining clean, stocked exam rooms, and ensuring HIPAA-compliant documentation. BLS and CMA credentials are required or encouraged, with commitment to quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred.
• At least 1 year of related customer-facing healthcare experience required.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• CMA licensure/credentials required (various certs listed).
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Accompany patients to exam rooms and prepare for exams.
• Take and document vital signs.
• Assist with procedures and medications with physician authorization.
• Perform EKGs and phlebotomy tasks.
• Provide patient education on office policies, medications, and disease management.
• Stock and clean exam rooms; dispose of biohazard waste per OSHA.
