Job summary

Tidelands Health in Murrells Inlet, SC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. You will support clinicians by preparing exam rooms, taking vitals, assisting with procedures, drawing blood, and administering medications under physician direction.

The role requires a high school diploma and certification; BLS, phlebotomy skills, and strong interpersonal communication. Day shift, regular hours, and a supportive work environment with focus on patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of related customer facing healthcare experience required.
• Certification in Medical Assistant (AAMA/AMT/NHA) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Phlebotomy skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Accompany patients to exam rooms, preparing patients for exams.
• Performing and documenting vital signs.
• Assisting with procedures.
• Preparing and administering medications with physician’s authorization.
• Performing EKGs.
• Using CPR skills when required.
• Drawing blood.
• Providing patient education regarding office policies, medication, and disease/home management.
• Stocking exam rooms, cleaning rooms and instruments, and disposing of biohazard waste per OSHA.
• Documentation in a legal and ethical manner.
• Adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
